  • Jeannette C. (LaRosee) Fitzgibbon, a loving wife and mother passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was 87 years old. Jeannette was born in Boston. She was the daughter of Albert and Catherine LaRosee. She grew up in Brighton and was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph's Academy. She then furthered her education by going to a secretarial school in Boston. She then went to work at Raytheon as an administrative assistant. It was at Raytheon that she met her future husband, Edward Fitzgibbon. Ed was also a Brighton native, but their paths did not intersect because he was a Saint Columbkille High graduate. They married in July of 1969 and started their life together living in Hudson. In 1976 they settled in their forever home in Burlington. They had two sons, and Jeannette embraced her new role as mother and homemaker. When her sons were in school, she returned to the workforce part time in the evenings at Jordan Marsh. She was part of the accounting department and handled new accounts and credit. She worked at Jordan Marsh until Macy's took over the company. Jeannette was a quiet and humble woman who never wanted to be the center of attention. She had a kind heart, a gentle disposition, and always held herself in a prim and proper way. The only time she could be outspoken was when in a car. To the chagrin of her family, she was a very vocal back seat driver. During her retirement years, she and Ed were regulars at Dunkin Donuts. They would go twice a...
